Luís Miguel Duarte will be giving a lecture at the International Seminar "Craftsmen's writing and papers", on 13th June, at the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art, in Paris. The seminar, organised by Philippe Bernardi and Julie Clauste, will explore the relationships between craftsmen and writing :
1. Typology of craftsmen’s writings : forms, conservation, supports and writing materials, chronology.2 / craftsmanship and written documents : request, manipulation, possession of writings, presence and use of figures and of drawings.3 / written formalization, professional identities and technical lexicons: tariffs, regulatory writings (professional statutes), manuals, treaties etc.
