Crafts regulation in Portugal in the Late Middle Ages (14th-15th centuries)
A scientifc project funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology | 2018-2022
THE TEAM
Since this project is focused on the analysis of several cities in Portugal, our team is composed by a significant number of researchers, both senior and junior, including post graduate students. Each one of them is a specialist that is currently studying one, sometime more, of those towns. So, we gathered specialists on those towns, that have already worked and published about the subject, or that are currently working on it, sometimes in PhD thesis. Our intention is to include the people that have a better knowledge of the sources and of the pre-existing studies and of the realities of those medieval towns.
The PI (Arnaldo Melo) and the Co-PI (Joana Sequeira) manage the project, together with one representative of each of the participating units of research: Luis Miguel Duarte (CITCEM), Maria Helena Cruz Coelho (CHSC), Amélia Andrade (IEM), HermenegildoFernandes (CH/UL) and Hermínia Vilar (CIDEHUS). This project will also contribute for the development of scientic employement in Portugal, hiring 6 junior researchers and 1 post-doc researcher.
